The African Aviation and Aerospace University (AAAU), Abuja, is advancing preparations for the launch of its Faculty of Engineering through a strategic collaboration with the School of Engineering and Sustainable Development, De Montfort University (DMU), United Kingdom.
A delegation from AAAU recently visited DMU for a facility tour and consultative meeting focused on faculty development and infrastructure requirements for the new faculty.
The discussions centred on identifying laboratories, workshops, and academic resources essential for the commencement of programmes in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering.
Representing AAAU were the Registrar, Dr. Mustapha Sheikh Abdullahi; Head of Aviation Business Department, Dr. Endurance Keyamo; and Dr. Joel Adams of the Royal Air Force.
The DMU team was led by Dr. Richard Cross, Duncan Hepworth, and Dr. John Asu.
The partnership marks a vital step in strengthening international academic collaboration and ensuring that AAAU’s engineering faculty aligns with global standards in science, technology, and innovation-driven education.
