In a strategic move to strengthen internal leadership and elevate customer service delivery, Air Peace, West and Central Africa’s largest airline, recently hosted a high-level retreat focused on leadership transformation and customer experience innovation.

The three-day retreat, themed “21st Century Transformational Leadership: Building Resilience for Exceptional Customer Experience,” was held from Friday, July 25 to Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Protea Hotel Ikeja Select by Marriott in Lagos.

Organized in collaboration with Ricchezza Capital Advisors Ltd., the retreat brought together the airline’s management team for an intensive programme of learning, reflection, and strategy.

Participants engaged in a mix of lectures, practical workshops, and peer interactions designed to align leadership thinking with evolving customer expectations in the aviation industry.

Led by the CEO of Ricchezza Capital Advisors Ltd., Mr. Udeme Etukeyen, and co-facilitated by renowned communications expert Dr. Uche Nworah, the sessions featured a stellar lineup of guest speakers.

These included customer experience expert Mrs. Oby Roberts; cultural entrepreneur and columnist Mr. Joseph Edgar (the Duke of Shomolu); former Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Captain Roland Iyayi; and Her Excellency Philda Nani Kereng, Botswana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria.

Discussions explored key areas such as transformational leadership in the aviation space, enhancing the customer journey, modern engagement and retention strategies, and building resilient service-focused teams.

Participants also engaged in scenario simulations and team-building activities to foster collaboration and strategic thinking.

Air Peace described the retreat as a major step in its ongoing investment in human capital development. “Our commitment to delivering outstanding service begins with empowered leadership,” the airline said, adding that the retreat reflects its resolve to offer not just air travel, but remarkable customer experiences.

As Air Peace continues its expansion both locally and internationally, initiatives like this retreat reaffirm its long-term vision of service excellence, people development, and leadership sustainability in a highly competitive industry.
