West Africa’s leading aviation ground handling company, NAHCO Plc, has recorded another major milestone with the renewal of contracts from key international airlines and the launch of a new solar cell export operation to the United States.
The company confirmed that Qatar Airways, Saudia Airlines and ASKY Airlines have all renewed their long-standing partnerships with NAHCO, reinforcing the handler’s growing dominance in the regional aviation services market.
The renewed agreements will see Qatar Airways continue its relationship with NAHCO for another three years, while Saudia Airlines has committed to a fresh five-year term. ASKY Airlines also extended its contract for an additional three years.
Adding to its expanding client portfolio, NAHCO has signed a new three-year ground handling agreement with FlyGabon, one of Africa’s emerging carriers. The deal supports FlyGabon’s expansion into Nigeria and its ambition to strengthen air connectivity across the continent.
Beyond aviation services, NAHCO has also entered the renewable energy logistics space through a solar cell export project destined for the United States.
The company disclosed that BGE (Nigeria) Solar FZE began exporting solar cells from Lagos in January 2026 using NAHCO’s facilities and logistics support. Shipments have been moved through major international carriers including Lufthansa, Ethiopian Airlines, Turkish Airlines and DHL.
NAHCO is responsible for the entire cargo handling chain, from cargo acceptance and warehousing to export processing and aircraft handling, ensuring smooth movement of the consignments.
Commenting on the developments, Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, Prince Saheed Lasisi, said the new and renewed contracts demonstrate the confidence global and regional airlines have in the company’s capabilities.
He described the agreements as further evidence of NAHCO’s leadership in the aviation ground handling sector and pledged continued service excellence for all partners.
The company’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Olumuyiwa Olumekun, said ongoing investments in technology and operational efficiency are helping NAHCO deliver higher service standards while creating value for customers and shareholders.
With a growing portfolio of international airline clients and an expanding role in cargo logistics, NAHCO is positioning itself as a key player in both aviation support services and export facilitation across the region.
