Tinubu to Lead Transport Innovation Summit

Date:

Primero Transport Services Limited Managing Director, Mr. Fola Tinubu, will chair the maiden edition of the JustAlive Communications Limited Transport Summit, set to hold on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Providence Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

Themed “Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future,” the one-day summit will gather top players across the nation’s transport and logistics industries to deliberate on solutions to the challenges impeding the development of Nigeria’s multi-modal transport system.

Tinubu, a graduate of Economics and Politics from the University of East Anglia, and holder of an MBA from the University of Stirling, Scotland, brings a wealth of experience to the forum.

Over the years, he has become one of the key figures driving innovation and efficiency in public transport through his leadership at Primero Transport Services and Maryland Wreckage Limited.

Under his guidance, Primero has continued to strengthen its operations as a leading provider of modern urban transit solutions, playing a central role in the Lagos State Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) initiative and contributing to cleaner, safer, and more reliable city transport.

The event’s keynote address will be delivered by the Managing Director of Wide Scope Logistics Limited, who is expected to offer industry insights on how innovation, technology, and sustainable investment can shape the nation’s transport future.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, said the initiative was conceived as a response to Nigeria’s pressing need for a modernised, interconnected, and future-ready transport infrastructure.

Ngwama stated that the summit will “serve as a hub for dialogue, collaboration, and solution-driven engagement among stakeholders in government, private sector, and academia,” adding that outcomes from the discussions will form the basis for policy recommendations and future interventions.

She noted that the event is also in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which priorities infrastructure renewal and economic transformation. “We believe that effective transport systems are at the heart of economic growth. By encouraging collaboration and innovative thinking, we can help build a transport ecosystem that supports Nigeria’s broader development vision,” she said.

Organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, the summit aims to become a regular platform for engagement across Nigeria’s core transport subsectors — aviation, maritime, rail, and road with a focus on sustainability, safety, and technological advancement.

The organisers expressed optimism that the forum would generate actionable strategies capable of reshaping the nation’s transport infrastructure and positioning Nigeria as a model for innovation-driven mobility solutions in Africa.
