The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has once again taken center stage for its exemplary performance and ethical leadership, clinching the National Integrity, Leadership, and Development Award as Nigeria’s Most Efficient Aviation Agency at the 2025 Summit and Awards organized by the Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment (CECOE) in Abuja
The recognition underscores NAMA’s unwavering dedication to integrity, transparency, and operational excellence in managing the nation’s airspace.
CECOE, in its citation, praised the agency’s consistent pursuit of ethical best practices and its transformative impact on aviation safety and service delivery.
According to the Centre, NAMA’s achievements are a direct reflection of the visionary leadership of its Managing Director/Chief Executive, Engr. Ahmed Umar Farouk, described as “a reform-minded technocrat whose blend of technical expertise and ethical clarity continues to drive innovation and institutional credibility in the aviation sector.”
CECOE commended Engr. Farouk for championing reforms that enhance efficiency and reinforce public confidence in Nigeria’s airspace system, noting that his leadership has become a model for good governance in public service.
In a related development, NAMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Dr. Abdullahi Musa, was also honoured with the Individual Integrity Award for his outstanding contribution to promoting accountability and transparency in public communication.
Dr. Musa was praised for his professionalism and for fostering trust among stakeholders and the travelling public through consistent engagement and information dissemination that reflect NAMA’s values of openness and ethical conduct.
CECOE, a leading ethics advocacy organization, said the awards celebrate public institutions and leaders who exemplify moral uprightness and national development values.
