The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has achieved a major milestone in its quest to strengthen air traffic management and enhance capacity building with the official certification of its Air Traffic Control (ATC) Simulator by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
The certificate was presented to NAMA’s Managing Director/Chief Executive, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar, by the NCAA’s Director of Air Traffic Control, Mr. John Tayo.
During the presentation, Mr. Tayo commended the efforts of the Local Management at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) and the Department of Technical Evaluation and Manpower Development for their crucial role in securing the certification.
Engr. Umar, receiving the certificate on behalf of NAMA, described the achievement as a landmark development for the agency.
He lauded the collaborative efforts that made the milestone possible and highlighted that the ATC Simulator will boost manpower training, enhance operational efficiency, and improve safety standards across Nigeria’s airspace.
The certification underscores NAMA’s commitment to advancing aviation training and aligning with global best practices in air traffic management.
