Chiaka Ben-Obi Joins Board of United Nigeria Airlines

United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has appointed Mrs. Chiaka Ben-Obi as a Director on its Board, effective November 1, 2025.

The move reflects the airline’s ongoing commitment to strengthen leadership and corporate governance as it continues to expand its regional operations.

A respected executive and leadership coach, Mrs. Ben-Obi has over 30 years of experience across multiple sectors.

She is currently the Managing Partner and CEO of Proven Performance Limited and previously served as Coordinating Director for the Digital and Innovation Support Group at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), where she led the agency’s technology transformation initiatives.

She is a recipient of several professional awards, including Corporate Woman of Excellence, SheLeadsTech, and Technology & Innovation Personality of the Year in Public Service.

Her academic background includes degrees from the University of Maiduguri, University of Hull (UK), and London Guildhall University. She is also an alumna of Lagos Business School, MIT, and Harvard Kennedy School.

Speaking on her appointment, Mrs. Ben-Obi said:
“I am honored to join the Board of United Nigeria Airlines and look forward to contributing to the company’s vision of uniting people and opportunities through air travel.”
