The Nigerian aviation industry is set to converge in Port Harcourt as the Aviation Hub of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) announced its 3rd National Aviation Conference, scheduled to hold from September 16–19, 2025, at the Portland Hotel, Rivers State.
With the theme, “The Nigerian Aviation Development Stratagem: The Industry Efforts So Far,” the conference is expected to serve as a major platform for dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and strategic policy engagement among aviation stakeholders, public relations professionals, regulators, and media executives.
The President and Chairman of the NIPR Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr, will deliver a special address on “The Role of Strategic Communication in National Development” before formally declaring the event open.
Speaking on the significance of the conference, Chairman of the NIPR Aviation Hub, Basil Agboarumi, fnipr, described the gathering as a pivotal moment for the sector. “Our goal is to bridge the gap between communication and aviation operations, fostering an environment where strategic Public Relations is recognized as a critical tool for safety, reputation management, and national development. We are bringing the entire industry to the heart of the South-South,” he said.
