Air Peace Limited has strongly denied social media reports alleging that one of its aircraft crashed in the Western Sahara region, resulting in fatalities, including the reported death of a prominent individual.
In a statement issued by the airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Air Peace described the claims as false, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to damage its reputation. The airline emphasized that the circulating images and information were fabricated and had no connection to any real incident.
“The report is entirely false and malicious. It is yet another calculated attempt to misinform the public and tarnish the impeccable safety record of Air Peace,” Ndiulo stated.
The airline pointed out that the author of the viral post has a history of spreading false and alarming information about fictitious tragedies. Furthermore, the accompanying images in the report were identified as AI-generated and not representative of any actual events.
Air Peace urged the public to disregard the disinformation and rely on verified information from official channels regarding its operations.
The airline reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards, stating, “Safety is not just a priority but a fundamental precondition for all our activities. The well-being of our passengers and crew is at the core of what we do.”
The statement comes amid growing concern over the spread of false reports, which had caused unnecessary alarm before being debunked. Air Peace continues to assure its passengers of its dedication to safety and reliability in all its services.
