Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, operators of Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), has reinforced its commitment to safety by hosting a year-end safety forum aimed at ensuring secure and seamless operations during the busy holiday season.
The event, which brought together airport staff, airline representatives, security personnel, and other key stakeholders, focused on enhancing safety protocols, emergency response strategies, and risk management measures.
Discussions centered on maintaining operational excellence and preventing incidents that could compromise passenger safety.
“Safety is our top priority,” said Acting COO of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, Remi Jibodu. “Through regular reviews and training, we aim to foster a culture of vigilance among everyone operating from our terminal. Our goal is to ensure passengers experience a secure and hassle-free journey, particularly during peak travel periods.”
Key deliberations at the forum included measures to strengthen terminal operations and strategies for continuous improvement. Participants also shared feedback and suggestions, with outstanding safety performers for 2024 recognised for their contributions.
Head of the Safety Department, Nafisat Adeniran, emphasised the importance of stakeholder involvement, stating, “Stakeholders’ participation is critical in safety management. This forum is an opportunity to address concerns, manage expectations, and identify potential risks for ongoing improvements. Our safety culture thrives on collaboration across both aeronautical and non-aeronautical activities.”
The meeting combined Apron and Terminal Safety Committee discussions, fostering collaboration to enhance roles, responsibilities, and overall awareness.
