The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced a planned power shutdown at the International Terminal 2 (ITZ-2) of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, for critical infrastructure upgrades.
Scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 01:00 to 04:30 hours, the shutdown will facilitate the replacement of the Bus Riser 11KVA high-tension panel, a crucial step in improving airport facilities.
In a move aimed at minimizing disruption, FAAN has assured that flight operations will proceed smoothly during the maintenance window.
Notably, Royal Air Maroc flights, which operate during this period, will be temporarily relocated to International Terminal 1 (ITZ-1) for check-in and arrival procedures.
This maintenance effort is part of FAAN’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the airport’s operational efficiency and safety, ensuring a better travel experience for passengers. Airlines, security agencies, and concessioners have been notified of the temporary changes to ensure seamless coordination.
FAAN has expressed its gratitude for the understanding of stakeholders and passengers during the brief disruption and reaffirmed that the safety and security of all airport users remain its top priority.
