The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, has honoured its immediate past Acting Rector, Mr. Joseph Shaka Imalighwe, with a grand sendforth ceremony to mark his retirement at the mandatory age of 65.
Mr. Imalighwe’s career, which began with humble beginnings, blossomed into a remarkable journey of service defined by hard work, humility, and dedication.
His years at NCAT were described as impactful and exemplary, leaving an indelible mark on the institution and its people.
In his goodwill message, the Rector/Chief Executive of NCAT, Dr. Danjuma Ismaila, praised the celebrant for his sterling contributions to the growth of the college.
He commended his leadership qualities, kindness, and the positive relationships he nurtured during his service.
Ismaila assured Mr. Imalighwe of NCAT’s continued support, noting that he would never walk alone even in retirement.
He further prayed for God’s blessings of good health, peace, and happiness in his new phase of life.
Responding, Mr. Imalighwe expressed profound gratitude to God and to colleagues who supported him throughout his career.
He urged staff members to cultivate humility, kindness, and strong human relationships, stressing that these values, along with God’s grace, were key to his success.
The event, which also coincided with his 65th birthday celebration, attracted a large turnout of NCAT staff who poured encomiums on him for his selfless service and legacy of excellence.
