For the second time in one week, the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, has been recognized as The Minister of the Year 2024, this time by the Board of Editors of The Sun Newspapers.
The prestigious award, presented to him by Ms. Diana Chen, Chairman of CIG Motors Limited, highlights his remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s aviation sector and his transformational leadership.
The grand award ceremony took place on Saturday, March 1, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, bringing together distinguished figures from the corporate world, oil and gas industry, banking sector, and the political landscape.

According to Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, the conferment of this second consecutive award underscores Minister Keyamo’s bold reforms, infrastructure advancements, and strategic policies, all aimed at positioning Nigeria as a key global aviation hub.
