MMA2 Declares Zero Tolerance for Unruly Passenger Behavior

Date:

Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operators of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining safety and order within its facilities.

This comes in response to recent incidents of unruly and violent conduct by passengers at the terminal.

In an official statement, BASL condemned such behavior, stressing that it violates the expected standards of conduct at the airport.

While acknowledging the frustration often caused by flight delays and cancellations, the management encouraged passengers to address grievances through proper channels as outlined in Part 19 of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs).

These regulations provide a framework for handling disputes, protecting both passenger rights and airline obligations.

“MMA2 enforces a zero-tolerance policy against any form of unruly or violent behavior,” the statement read. “Individuals involved in such actions will face immediate legal action, prosecution, and possible inclusion on no-fly lists.”

Passengers were advised to cooperate with airport staff and security personnel to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for all.

BASL encouraged anyone witnessing or experiencing inappropriate conduct to report to security personnel for prompt resolution. The management remains committed to fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere for travelers, staff, and other stakeholders.
