Date:

In a strong show of support, the Joint Aviation Trade Unions’ Forum (JATUF), the body representing all aviation industry trade unions, has commended the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, on his retention in office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This recognition highlights the minister’s impact on Nigeria’s aviation sector.

In a statement issued by JATUF’s Secretary, Comrade Hector Nnadi, and relayed by the Minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Mr. Tunde Moshood, the union praised Keyamo’s steady leadership and vision.

The union described his reappointment as a vote of confidence in his dedication to industry growth and stability, recognizing his reorganization initiatives focused on enhancing the passenger experience and benefiting aviation stakeholders.

“We applaud your dedication to elevating standards within the aviation sector,” the statement read.

“Your recent steps to strengthen industry infrastructure and secure aviation financing have not gone unnoticed, especially with the 75.5% compliance rating awarded to Nigeria by the Aviation Working Group (AWG).”

JATUF also stressed Keyamo’s proactive partnerships, including recent collaborations with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) aimed at improving infrastructure and financing options.

These partnerships, according to JATUF, are pivotal in bolstering Nigeria’s aviation ecosystem.

Moreover, the union praised Keyamo’s inclusive approach to handling policy matters and fostering industrial harmony. “Your transparent engagement with stakeholders has set a high standard,” JATUF noted, adding that they look forward to ongoing cooperation on key industry issues.

JATUF expressed confidence in Keyamo’s ability to continue his progressive leadership, with hopes for a prosperous future in Nigeria’s aviation sector.
