NCAA Contact Staff Applaud Management’s Training Drive, Urge Consistency

Date:

Contact staff of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) have applauded the management for a move they described as inspiring, impactful, and essential for improved service delivery.

The sensitization and capacity-building sessions, themed “Character and Relationship for Maximum Productivity,” were held at the Port Harcourt, Kaduna, and Kano Regional Offices.

The programme, led by public relations expert and Chief Executive Officer of SAPTCO Public Relations, Mr. Sam Adurogboye, focused on strengthening interpersonal skills and professional conduct among staff who interface directly with the public.

According to participants, the initiative not only boosted morale but also equipped them with practical tools for better workplace communication and discipline.

The sessions combined PowerPoint presentations with interactive discussions, allowing participants to share experiences and identify areas for improvement in service delivery.

Topics explored during the workshop included effective customer engagement, personal grooming, professional ethics, and understanding NCAA’s mission, vision, and values. Emphasis was placed on teamwork, punctuality, respect, and integrity, while discouraging habits such as truancy, laxity, and leaking of official information.

The contact staff also expressed appreciation to the Director General, Captain Chris Najomo, and the management team for the ongoing welfare improvements, including the recent salary review. They, however, appealed for regular capacity-building exercises to sustain productivity and morale.

They further called for the recruitment of more support staff to reduce workload pressure and urged management to conduct thorough background checks on outsourced workers to safeguard sensitive information. They also proposed that outsourced personnel take an oath of secrecy and suggested that the pep talk be extended to all departments within the Authority for broader institutional impact.

Other recommendations included the adoption of digital security systems across NCAA facilities and permission to wear their branded T-shirts on Wednesdays as a mark of unity and identity.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Adurogboye commended the staff for their enthusiasm, describing the exercise as part of NCAA’s broader strategy to build a more professional, courteous, and service-oriented workforce capable of upholding the Authority’s reputation nationwide.
